Making your own food from scratch usually tastes much better and is way healthier because you know what you are putting in your own food!
This hummus recipe is the best hummus I have EVER made and is one of the best hummus’ I have ever had.
When you lineup your ingredients ahead of time, this recipe takes about 10 minutes to make.
Recipe:
-2 cans chickpeas
-2 roasted bulbs of garlic
-2 Tbsp tahini
-1 can black olives
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/4 cup olive oil
-2 shallots
-Juice of a small lemon

Method:
Roasting the bulb of garlic: Cut top off of garlic, drizzle with olive oil and place on a baking pan and into the oven for 30mins or until the garlic is tender.
Toasting the cumin: If you are using whole cumin, put the 2 tbsps in either a small pot/pan on a stove top and toast it (do not burn it)
Add all ingredients into the food processor, adding the liquids last and blend until smooth (or your desired texture).

Once finished, transfer into a clean air-tight container and store in the fridge for up to one week.
Try this recipe and let me know how you like it! This hummus is fantastic for many different uses such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, part of a snack, take it to a potluck or serve it at a party – you decide!
