Essential oils are fantastic! They are definitely a part of nature’s medicine cabinet and some oils really pack a punch! 🥊🥊🥊
Not all brands are created equal, however. Definitely do a little research if you are looking to get into essential oils because increasing knowledge will help you navigate the oils more smoothly.
Every essential oil has a medicinal purpose. They can of course be used in aromatherapy sessions. Clinical grades of essential oils can be applied to skin, used internally, used in cooking and for aromatherapy.
When applying essential oils to the skin, be sure to MIX IT with a carrier oil! Essential oils are concentrated and can be strong enough to burn you! The brand of carrier oil I use (grapeseed oil) is by Aura Cacia and I love it! They have other oils and products available at: http://www.auracacia.com
I got into essential oils in early 2015 as I was seeking more ways to treat my severe chronic eczema in a natural way, as well as any skin trauma, or scars I had/have. One of my favorite essential oil brands is Aqua Oleum by Julia Lawless. Her oils are high quality! For info about her products, go to: http://www.aqua-oleum.co.uk, or call your local health food store about it.
I researched the most relevant oils to increase skin health, stimulate cell regeneration, heal scar tissue, reduce inflammation, soften the skin and of course soothe the skin too. Some of those include: Geranium oil, Frankincense oil, Ylang Ylang oil, Patchouli oil, Helichrysum oil, Neroli oil and Myrrh.
You can make your own mouthwash with 3 or 4 drops of tea tree oil mixed in a cup of water. Your mouth will be in pure bliss! 😄
If you feel a cold brewing in your body, just put a few drops of oil of oregano under your tongue for the amount of seconds written on the bottle’s directions and you’re golden! Repeat as needed.
My experience with essential oils has been very positive. Be sure to do a little research and ask questions so that your experience can be a positive one too!
